Given the mess of menus that the Hitman series has become, I was happy to see that Freelancer mode is available from the main featured menu when you boot it up. However, it’s also available via Game Modes › Freelancer if it’s ever removed from the featured section.
The odd failed mission can be forgiven, though. Before starting a mission, it will tell you if failing that one mission will fail the entire campaign or not. Levels play just like in story mode except you don’t have helpful features such as a nice loadout or pre-created storylines that you can follow.
